Today Nippon Ichi Software released new screenshots of its upcoming game Liar Princess and the Blind Prince.

On top of the images, we also get some gameplay information.

The prince is an NPC, and can run and jump together with the princess when they’re holding hands. The princess can also instruct him to hold an object and to walk a short distance. If they fall in a chasm or are killed by a monster, the game is over.

We also get to see three different stages, the Forest, the Mushroom Field, and the Witch’s Garden. In those locations, our heroes will find friendly monsters that will throw them to higher areas, flying flowers that can be used to press distant switches, and fields of spores that will hinder movement.

You’ll also be able to find various petals floating around the stage. Grabbing them unlocks lore items that can be consulted in the dedicated menu. Flower gardens can also be discovered, and giving the prince a flower will unlock chapters of the “Witch’s Fairy Tale.”

You can check out the screenshots below, alongside the box art for both PS4 and Switch. If you want to see more, you can check out a recent trailer, and another video.

Liar Princess and the Blind Prince releases in Japan on May 31st, 2018 for PS4, Nintendo Switch, and PS Vita. No western release has been announced for now.
