Today, NeatherRealm and Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment released a new Injustice 2 gameplay video focusing on Atom, the first DLC character of Fighter Pack 3. While Atom himself was revealed back in October, Fighter Pack 3 was revealed last month to also include The Enchantress and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

From what we see in the gameplay video, Atom, who is actually Ryan Choi, not Ray Palmer in this game, personally seems to be one of the most unique characters included in a fighting game in recent years. His ability to shrink to a small size seems to open up some very interesting opportunities for different attacks, blocks, and combos. We see him shrink to a smaller size to both unleash a fury of attacks against his opponents and make himself harder to hit by changing his size. Players will really need to learn to master high, medium, and low attacks if they want to take on Atom competently.

When Atom is normal size, he employs the use of a variety of different scientific gadgets and chemicals for his attacks, causing him to look like he will be one of the most colorful and vibrant fighters of Injustice 2. We also get a glance at what he looks like when clashing and his super move, both of which look really awesome. Ultimate Edition owners will be able to use Atom starting on December 12, and I can’t wait to try him out for myself.
