Following today’s official reveal of My Hero Academia: One’s Justice, Bandai Namco Entertainment published a further batch of screenshots of the game.

The screenshots, that you can see in the gallery below, focus on the hero of the manga and anime, who will also be the protagonist of the game, Izuku Midoriya. We see him in action in an urban environment and against his arch-enemy Tomura Shigaraki. Interestingly, we notice that the manga origin of the IP is underlined by the use of onomatopeia effects.

Incidentally, the accompanying press release clarifies that the game is developed by Byking, known for the extremely successful arcade franchise Gunslinger Stratos series and the much less acclaimed Rise of Incarnates.

The game will have the characters’ “quirks” collide, featuring stage destruction, and battles that make clever use of buildings and walls in each level.

My Hero Academia is a superhero manga serialized since July 2014 on Shueisha’s Weekly Shonen Jump, where the game has also been first announced. It’s still ongoing and generated a TV anime series that launched in 2016, and will get a third season in 2018. It even got a game for 3DS titled My Hero Academia: Battle for All, developed by studio Dimps.

A reveal trailer will be showcased at Jump Festa this month, but for the moment we have no release date. We do know that it will come (at least in Japan) for PS4 and Nintendo Switch.

Of course, no western release has been announced for the moment, but the anime is pretty popular on this side of the Pacific as well, so Bandai Namco might go for it. It remains to be seen if there won’t be licensing issues, in which case we might see an Asian release with English subtitles. That being said, for now, the publisher is silent on that.

You can enjoy the screenshots below. If you want to see more, you can check out the first batch, alongside the key art.
